Deacon Dominic Pullano was a respected and beloved figure in the parish of St. David.
Born into an Italian immigrant family in Toronto, Ontario, Deacon Dominic was the eldest of three children to Mr. Michael and Mrs. Maria Pullano. In his early years, he attended a Catholic high school and grew up in a family with a strong religious tradition.

In 1984, Deacon Dominic graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Studies from the University of Toronto. With a deep desire to gain knowledge of the Gospel, he pursued a Master’s in New Testament Studies at McMaster University, completing it in 1987. Although he initially intended to join the Jesuit Order, his path of service took a different direction after his time in seminary.
With a profound passion for ministry nurtured during his seminary years, in 1989, Deacon Dominic began his ministry as a catechist at a Catholic high school. For over 30 years, he dedicated himself to serving the parish community with all his heart.

Deacon Dominic Pullano’s Career
Deacon Dominic Pullano’s ministry career is admirable and inspiring.
From a young age, he wholeheartedly devoted himself to serving the community. For 19 years, he volunteered to teach at various Catholic schools in Toronto while also pursuing studies in youth ministry. Notably, from 2000 to 2004, he served as the President of the Association of Catholic School Chaplains in Ontario, highlighting his dedication to the cause of education.
The year 2008 marked a significant turning point in his career. He began guiding and spiritually caring for priests, a mission he pursued throughout his life. In the same year, he initiated the deacon training program and was officially ordained in 2010.
After becoming a deacon, he served at St. David’s Parish, where he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to a multicultural community. Throughout his 13 years as a deacon in the parish, he left a deep impact on every member and inspired many generations of parishioners.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Deacon Dominic dedicated his entire life to serving God and tending to his flock. As a professor, a catechist, and for the past 13 years, as the Deacon of St. David’s Parish, he tirelessly committed himself to serving the community.
