Mrs. Carol’s childhood was simple and happy, surrounded by her kind father and capable mother. In 1957, she met John F. Cook, and their connection blossomed into a deep bond. They were married on September 7 of the same year and shared a blissful life together for 64 years until John’s passing in November 2021.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Carol was a gentle and diligent woman, dedicating her love to her family. She worked for many years at the LaSalle County Mental Health Center in the role of an accounting staff member. Despite her busy schedule, she always found time to care for her eight beloved grandchildren. Her most cherished memories were the moments when she watched her grandchildren perform, compete in sports, and take pride in their achievements.
In addition to her family, Mrs. Carol had a personal passion for playing cards with her close group of friends. She engaged in spirited competitions whenever she played Euchre. Furthermore, she enjoyed shopping, dancing with John, and spending time with her dear sister, Mary.

Throughout her long career, Mrs. Carol worked as an accountant at the LaSalle County Mental Health Center. She also had a passion for playing cards with friends, actively participating in a women’s card club and fiercely competing in Euchre.
Additionally, Mrs. Carol enjoyed shopping, dancing with her husband, and spending time with her beloved sister.
However, family was everything to Carol. She took great pride in and loved her eight grandchildren dearly. She was the first to congratulate them on every achievement and always dedicated time to observe their activities and hobbies.
She is survived by three children: Shelly Kuhn, Julie Scott, and Mike Cook, as well as grandchildren Maya, Willa Kuhn, John, Alex, Leah Kuhn, Shane, Christa, Cara Scott, Matthew, and Caitlin Cook. She also had two sisters, Nancy Yuhas and Mary Lamps.
