Initially, three individuals had been confirmed dead, while two others were struggling with critical injuries. Regrettably, a fourth person has since passed away while undergoing medical care. It’s believed the drivers stepped out to exchange information. A truck driver who also pulled over to assist became part of the tragic narrative when another big rig and 18-wheeler crashed into the stationary cars. This devastating turn of events claimed the lives of Longoria, Barker, and another individual named Chase Mapes at the scene. Jasmine Jones succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
According to Officer Segura, two survivors are currently hospitalized, though their condition remains undisclosed.
